Managers Comment: Cultured central midfielder Mark Nolan played a big part in our league and cup success in 2002/3 but his place in the side was compromised during the following season and Mark ended up retiring towards the end of the season.
Captains View: A regular on the sideline with the other fans, Nolan never quite found his way in mid-Sussex football. As cultured a player as you will ever find, Mark would rather watch Prem Plus with Whitters than get his boots muddy. Once famously dropped by Medders because 'the pitch wouldn't suit his passing game'.
Rumours were rife that Nolan was considering a come-back to the ECFC midfield for the forthcoming 2006/07 season - however with the pink forms already posted it looks like we'll have to wait another season!!
